One of the best European thriller of 1980s : The vanishing (1988). Rex and Saskia, a young couple in love, are on vacation. They stop at a busy service station and Saskia is abducted. After three years and no sign of Saskia, Rex begins receiving letters from the abductor.
An American remake was made in 1993. Avoid it.

The quiet earth (1985) is a New-Zeland science fiction movie. A man wakes up to find himself literally alone in the world, and goes about trying to find other survivors, as well as to find out what happened. He suspects that a government research project he was involved in had something to do with the disappearance of everyone. Eventually he finds several other people, and once they begin to trust each other they try to figure out why they were left on earth.

The most bizarre alliance is the alliance of MRAs and misogynistic women and anti-feminist. MRAs defends and love any misogynistic or anti-feminist women. One problem is the reason why these women are misogynistic is different from the reason MRAs are misogynistic. The main reason these women are misogynistic is they are jealous of other women. The main reason MRAs are misogynistic is they are insane and they cannot get laid : they are angry beta males. What MRAs want is s submissive wife and they want to be able to cheat her with every woman on sight. Conservative jealous women do not want that husbands be able to cheat their wife and most of them have been influenced by feminism, so they don’t want women to be submissive wife. So, usually, this alliance between conservative jealous women and MRAs do not last long. A good example of that is what happened on Hookingupsmart. Susan Walsh is jealous of younger women, so she accepted MRAs because MRAs hated young women, but that didn’t last and the end, she kicked out MRAs one by one.
Another weirdness is transgender women joining MRAs. There’s a conflict between transgender women and feminists and many transgender women are anti-feminist because many feminists don’t like transgender women, so MRAs like Paul Elam want to recruit them. But transgender women don’t care about angry beta males. So I don’t think it will last long.
And furthermore, now there is a conflict between MRAs and anti-feminist, traditionalist women. Traditionalist women want men to be protector and providers. MRAs don’t want to be providers, they are basement dwellers. And MRAs don’t want to be protector either : They think that all rape accusations are false and Paul Elam said : “Should I be called to sit on a jury for a rape trial, I vow publicly to vote not guilty, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that the charges are true.”. They want to legalize rape.
What’s funny is that when MRAs are rejected by these misogynistic and anti-feminist women, they feel it’s a betrayal : for example, Rollo Tomassi compared Susan Walsh to Judas Iscariot

PUAs from the manosphere believe that women are refusing to have sex with beta males and prefer to have sex with alpha males. And they believes that women prefer to be celibate if they don’t have sex with alpha males. Which means that PUAs from the manosphere cannot get laid and believe that most men with girlfriend are Alpha male. When a woman does not have a boyfriend, usually, she will not have sex with every guy she dates, she can be celibate for several months. It’s only when she will have boyfriend again that she will have a regular sex life. PUAs from the manosphere see that and conclude that all these guys that date women without having sex with them are beta males and that guys that become the boyfriend of these women are alpha males. Which means that all these PUAs from the manosphere cannot have more than a few sexless dates with women and it’s why they see themselves as beta.
What’s interesting is that PUAs from the manosphere do not say openly that most men with a girlfriend are alpha males. Instead what they say is that women are attracted to thugs and thugs are real alpha males. It’s the reason why these guys are obsessed by women cheating men (cuckolding). Since PUAs from the manosphere are surrounded by ordinary guys who have a girlfriend and they are jealous of these guys, PUAs from the manosphere say that these guys are cheated by their girlfriend with an alpha male.
This is one of the reason these guys pester women with girlfriends in clubs. They think that all men with women are Alpha male seducing women. They don’t believe that a guy can go in a club with his girlfriend or female friends. And this mindset exist even among regular PUAs.

Another ridiculous obsession of MRAs is that there are more female-on-male abuse than male-on-male abuse while it’s the opposite. Most male inmates in jail are raped by other men. MRAs says that because they are paranoid towards women.
